We used a smaller roast than what the recipe called for and it still didn't cook to the point of being tender after the 8 hours. Since the recipe didn't specify to mix the pork with the sauce, we didn't - and so the pork lacked flavor. We found the cole slaw to be bland.
We would recommend editing the recipe so others don't make the same mistake.

It fell off the bone which was great but I added a sauce, boiling equal parts soy sauce, orange marmelade, and honey with a T to 1/3 C of rice vinegar to add to the tacos. It made the tacos more juicy and better in my opinion. Great!

This recipe was very easy and it smelled great. This is one of my keepers for sure. I love the way you have two different meals out of the same slow cooker. The round 2 recipe is to die for also. Highly recommend. If you have any leftover pulled pork I add additional BBQ sauce and make pulled pork buns - this also freezes very well for later. Thanks Sandra I love the recipes!

I prepared this roast for Christmas dinner and it was fantastic. I didn't make the tacos and just served it on a platter. My guests went wild. Thanks for a great recipe for Christmas. You are amazing. Thanks Sandra.

After reading all of the reviews I was really nervous about making this along with the slaw that went with it, especially since I was making it for a party. It all turned out great! Everyone loved it. Since I was worried about the meat not being done I turned my crock pot on high for the first hour and then low for the rest of the time. It fell off the bone when I pulled it out.

Made this today with the cabbage slaw and it was awesome!
I loved the sweet port with the cabbage slaw; great pair and again nice change from traditional tacos.
    Highly recommend.

We followed the directions but instead of picnic style, we got a pork butt roast with a bone in it. It was absolutely delicious. Very moist. A huge hit with the whole family. Tonight, we're going to try the pork sliders with the leftovers. Thanks for the recipe.

Aside from cutting the recipe a bit to accomodate a 2lb boneless roast, I also used JALEPENO PEPPER JELLY instead of the orange and I added half a can of chicken broth...which eliminated any chance of this coming out dry,

The sweetness of the jelly and the saltiness of the soysauce was a great balance.

I am making this recipe again tonight with GINGER flavored jelly. I'll report back on that experiment.
