This is a fabulous recipe! I use a daisy shaped mold rather than the round form recommend and also double the recipe. I sprinkle a little lemon rind on top of the avocado to give it a stronger lemony flavor. The champagne vinaigrette makes all the difference...don't substitute!
I've made this over and over, it's a hit every time!

i love this recipe. very appealing to the eye. i suggest topping with sour cream and chives and serving with fried wontons wrappers.

I continue to try different things with this dish and its great. The original is good but then I changed it to shrimp and then crab. It's a feast for the eyes and mouth.
Thanks for the great recipe Sandra!

I make this all the time with GREAT reviews. I do not use the croutons, I simply use smoked salmon, thinly sliced red onion, avocado, lemon, and occasionally add a few capers on top. It is really lovely for a Sandra recipe.....

I made this for a party and everyone raved about it. I substituted half of the lox for some salmon that I smoked myself. It helped to cut down the strong flavor of lox.

This dish is very tasty and pretty, especially given how easy it is. The flavor combination of the salmon, avocado, and wasabi are like a good sushi roll.

I did these in 1/4 cup disposable plastic containers and inverted onto a plate for smaller appetizers. A beautiful and impressive presentation, our guests loved it.

but none of them would touch it. I had to fish globs of it out of the filter. Not a very good idea. ps. grownups turned up their noses at it also.
