I first saw this episode with I was pregnant with my second son and immdiently craved it. I was never a big meatloaf fan until I tried this. I sent my husband to the store for the ingredients and we all fell in love with this recipe! It's AMAZING! However I doubled the sauce and I don't do this in the slow cooker. I bake it in the oven and I leave out the potatoes as well. We usually serve it with mashed potatoes.

This is the best meatloaf recipe I've ever made. Its a little pricey. So I don't make it that often.
Whenever I make this for company I also print out the recipe. Everyone always asks for the recipe. I just moved to a new state so I'm trying it out for new friends. I know it will be a hit. I cannot believe this recipe got 3 stars. TRY IT....You will not regret it.

I HATE hamburger, and I LOVED this Meatloaf!!! And I love mushrooms,so I used even more than the recipe calls for. So really,it just depends on what you like! This meatloaf was fall apart tender and juicey and so flavorful just as the recipe is! I did add Salt and Pepper, but that is a given they go in everything practically.

I HAVE A WAY TO MAKE IT BETTER!! I read before I tried......It's very clear that it did not have enough flavor. I mean she doesn't even use salt and pepper. Everyone who cooks should know how important those ingredients are. So go digging in your spices and herbs, and add a tsp of this and Tbs of that...try herbs you like. Chives, Thyme, Parsley, Garlic.......I added about 7-10 spices and herbs, and it was so good!!!!!!!!!

Great sauce! Would have been a much better dish with less mushrooms - way too many mushrooms in this bad boy. Cut back on those and double on the sauce and you've got a winner!

This recipe is completely overdone. Too many ingredients, too rich because of that and too expensive for buying all the useless stuff, like the cans of soups (which makes it far too wet, the particular seasoning.
Stay with yourself. Baking a meatloaf in the slow cooker is great. Keep it simple, season it with salt and pepper, one egg, breadcrumbs, fresh or dried parsley, fine diced onion, maybe some grated carrot if you have one in your fridge, and whatever you like in your meatloaf and what you have in your pantry. Make a glaze of 1 cup ketchup, 2 tbs brown sugar and 1 tbs worchestershire sauce. After cooking half the time you can put in potatoes, sliced onions, sliced mushrooms, whatever you have. And you will have a great meal.

I have prepared and made this meatloaf at least 5 times now and all my family and friends love it! After reading some of the reviews I agree with some of the comments made and I believe I can offer some advice. First off, nothing comes out looking exactly like Sandra does on TV. So bear in mind the potato, cheese, mushroom soup mix that smoothers the meatloaf is going to be very brown and bubbly. If you want to reduce the amount of liquid in the potato & soup mix, try leaving the lid off the slow cooker for the last 15 - 20 minutes.
