I have made this several times and I am NEVER disappointed, always delicious and so easy to make, just fix it and forget it. I don't like onions so I just leave them out. Even my husband loves it!

Wow.....I am glad that I did not read the reviews before I made this. I just made this last Sunday and we loved it. I did think the potatoes got a little mushy and might try red potatoes the next time. I thought it was very easy to make and not the expensive. My husband already asked when I am going to make it again

Wow, glad I decided to try this BEFORE I read all the reviews! I made this 2 nights ago and loved it. I followed the recipe exactly and although my kids didn't like it (they hate anything with mushrooms & onions, my husband and I loved it. I'm eating the leftovers for lunch today! The potatoes do get a little soft, about the consistency of mashed potatoes, which are great with meatloaf anyway... so I didn't expect them to stay firm after 6 hours in a crockpot. I used 1 1/2 lbs. of pretty lean ground beef (about 94% lean and only 1 lb. of ground pork (which is fattier at only 75% lean, which I think balanced out the fat, because I had no slimy mess, just great meatloaf. The flavor was rich and delicious. My husband and I agree that I'll be adding this to our dinner recipe rotation.

OK, I should have read the comments before investing any money or time on this dish. Not only was this dish completely inedible, it was way too expensive to be thrown into the garbage. But that is where it went.
Dont do it....dont waste your money or time on this!!!

I was soooooo surprised how bad this recipe turned out. Have tried many other of Sandra's & loved them, but not this one. I feel bad about throwing out all this food, but just don't think I can make myself eat it.

Terrible!
I think I'd have been able to make 4 very decent and tasty 1 lbs meatloaves the old fashioned way and been happier. It would certainly have been less expensive and more nutritious!
There were too many manufactured foods in this, with way too many preservatives, sugar, salt, and fat.
I'm always annoyed a reciepies like that that basically tell you to make soup by staring with two cans of soup our a quart of chicken broth !?
This was way too rich, too salt, and worst of all, it turned out be a very ugly dish. Brown, soupy, runny, messy, hard to serve, and utterly unappealing to behold. I felt like i was eating a very rich dip, instead of a meatloaf.
Make meatloaf instead - use regular bread instead of the expensive Shake-N-Bake, use fresh herbs if you can get them - they are 3-5 times stronger in flavor than the dried herbs. Add celery and onions to the meat for better texture and use a low sodium broth soup to cook it in, with a couple of slices of bread or some white tortillas to insulate the meat from contacting the bottom of the pot.
This isn't cooking - this is just mixing up prepared foods that already have to many chemicals that you don't want or need in a home cooked dinner.
This is like a recipe for soup that calls for broth or two cans of soup .... !? (what?
