This will be the 4th year I have done the snowman cake as it has become a family tradition. It is a "super simple" recipe and the kids enjoy decorating it. Of course it isn't something I would serve at an adults only dinner party but for kids it is perfect! They love how it looks and love all the candies on the snowman. This will be a tradition year after year in my home!

Sandra I always LOVE your creative ideas and this Snowman Cake is precious and cheerful!!! The colors are so wintery and festive and he made all my guests smile! I used my cake and icing recipes, but adored your decorating ideas. Thanks for adding another special memory or our Christmas! May your holiday be your happiest ever!

I tried this to take to my boyfriends familys house for christmas. It was pretty easy but I did take some short cuts by buying everything premixed so all I did was bake the cake, frost the cake, and decorated to my desire. It was fairly easy!!!

This "recipe" is just directions for dumping a bunch of crap on top of a cake from a box. Gross.

I saw the show when Sandra made this & added it to my end of the yr project list. My family is very picky & brutally honest so I was a little afraid to give them a peppermint flavored cake. To our surprise, it tasted great!! I had a little trouble finding the blue hard candy for the hat so I used Jolly Ranchers instead. What I treat!!

I don't understand why I should go to the trouble of making royal icing from scratch when everything else was from a mix! I didn't like the taste of the cake because of the peppermint extract. It was too strong. It didn't look as much like a snowman as it did two circles piled on top of each other.
