Worked well, and very pretty, as well as tasty, however, I chose to make my sugar cookie from scratch instead of Sandra's recipe.

Easy & adorable, but not really edible. The jolly rancher center is not easy or satisfying to eat. Takes away from the flavor of the cookie itself. Wont make these again.

The cookies are ok but the crushed Lifesavers are not edible and they are so hard after they have hardened I broke a piece of tooth on them.

Plus, the taste of lifesavers to these cookies add nothing to the flavor. As far as a sugar cookie they are ok but you have to eat around the hard melted candy part to enjoy them.
Very disappointing I made these as presents and now I cannot give them out to people.

I did the recipe and my second batch came out great. But, my first batch came out horrible!!!!! The cookies were burnt and the candy had carmalized. When I watched the show again it said 350 degrees, but the recipe cards say 375 degrees. I recomend doing 350 degrees.

this was so easy and lots of fun to do with my kids. they each got to pick their candies and shapes and mke the cookies their own. we even modified the recipe, baking some of the cookies without the candies and instead adding melted chocolate after baking.

My 4 year old and I made these with great success. Be sure to use large chunks of the candy. Also, don't skimp with the candy. We used Jolly Ranchers, but the ones with the tiny pieces didn't turn out as perfect. The cream cheese is better than butter because it stays "workable" at room temp! My little guy used lots of creativity and had a great time! Also, allow the cookies to COMPLETELY cool on the tin foil. They come right off then.
