This cake is extremely good and the only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because it is extremely sweet. I made this for my daughter's 1st birthday and every year since (she is 6 and it is a hit with all my guests and her friends.

Made this for my 3 year old's bday party. It was nasty. WAY too sweet. If you plan on this cake, make it the same day you want to eat it. I made this the night before, and it turned out soggy, and just....gross. Would not recommend this cake EVER.

Great cake and great recipe. This is just like a Swedish birthday cake, but we might have a different filling in the middle. Check out my recipe here: http://delishhh.com/?p=1153

I made this cake for my son's school bake sale and it sold out instantly. After my cake sold out people started walking away from the bake sale. I was excited that my cake was so desired but sad about everyone walking away. Talk about an ego bust for someone who doesn't know how to bake.

I decided that Sandra "Strawberry Cake" would be perfect!! and quess what? It was the best. so much so when the cake was gone ...I actually seen people going to dish where the cake sat and was actually licking the plate lol..thumbs up Sandra you never disappoint me..Smoochez

This cake was awesome and has been requested for a couple of birthdays! It was so moist, and just down right tasty! I've made the cake a few times and I've changed it up a bit each time I've made it. I always keep it in the frig over night before I serve it, it gives the juices from the sliced strawberries to seep through the entire cake! I didn?t really care for the store bought strawberry icing, so I use homemade butter cream and I?ve also used a store bought chocolate icing;( it makes the cake taste like a chocolate covered strawberry! and then I pile fresh strawberries on top!
It's an excellent cake and so easy, my 12yr old can make it!

**Look in the Hispanic part of your grocery store for the nectar.**
