We have made these several times, but we substitute gruyere cheese for the monterey jack. They are always a big hit!

A hit at my thanksgiving dinner - and very easy to put together. You can cook the tartlets half way the night before and then reheat until cooked through just before serving.

Took a bit longer than the recipe said, but these were mostly enjoyed by everyone. I personally like to taste the onion more but only a small amount would fit in this mini muffin pan, so I'd go for a larger muffin pan next time and adjust the cooking time. Mini muffin pan, onions, eggs, cheese = quite a mess! Thanks for the idea though.

Like some others, we found these artificial tasting. Also they ran over and stuck to the pan, but I expected that after seeing the picture.

They had a real good flavor, but it was a little dry.

The tartlets are delicious when fresh, but once they cool they are a little bland.

My family does not like any changes to our traditional Thanksgiving meal, but for appetizers we will occasionally make exceptions. Everyone loved these tartlets! And they've been requested for Christmas...along with trying a few twists on them. We did not use the herbs when we made them and will need to play around with the cookie cutter size to use - my Mom and I each had different size mini muffin pans. But overall, everyone enjoyed them and is looking forward to making future modifications.

Great flavor, great make ahead item. Easy to freeze for later. Might need to modify cooking time if planning on re-heating.
