I don't understand the low rating.
These are delicious!
The pumpkin pie spice and chili seasoning are a perfect accompaniment to the sweet potato flavor.
I didn't change a thing with this recipe and will make these over and over.
Thanks Sandra for a healthy alternative to french fried potatoes.

Sweet potatoes are pretty hard to mess up flavor-wise, but I think I crowded the baking sheet with these and they ended up more like steamed rather than baked. They never got much color and the outsides were soft rather than crisp. If I did these again I would probably add a bit more salt and make sure there is plenty of separation between the wedges on the baking sheet. Also smaller wedges may have helped.

We didn't think they were anything to write home about. Def needed salt.

I usually watch Sandra out of morbid curiosity and would not try most of her dishes (the buckle! for any reason. The sweet potato fries, seemed good, so I tried them. But the pumpkin pie seasoning? That didn't seem so good. So I made two batches; one with pumpkin pie seasoning and one without.
Impressions: They smell good enough and look OK. I tried one and it was... good! The sweet potato and chili make a nice contrast. What is that after taste? Oh, bad pumpkin flavor. But there isn't enough to really get too worked up about. It's slightly out of place, not overwhelming. So I tried the batch without the pumpkin pie spices. Not bad, no after taste.
Just skip the pumpkin pie spice, and you have a fairly healthy, good tasting, easy to make snack.
Color me surprised...

These sweet tater fries were so good! I made these the same day I saw Sandra cook them on her show. I just knew I had to try them. I didn't know if there was a difference between chili powder and chili seasoning, but I used the powder and they turned out just fine. I also lined my baking sheet with parchment paper. I'll be making these many times!!
