This is an awesome dish! Can be used as a side, but it's a great dessert. I have a house full of picky eaters, and they BEG for this at holiday dinners. It IS the dish to pass! Very easy to make. I substitute the white chocolate chips for the butterscotch chips and it's awesome!

Very good and kept its moistness wonderfully! Great idea for using up leftovers--thanks, Sandra.

I am thinking of making this for Thanksgiving but i already make sweet potato casserole. I was going to use pumpkin in this instead of sweet potatoes. The butterscotch chips someone suggested also sounds great. Does any one have any advice?

My husband's father is impossible to impress. He usually just refuses to try anything with "this" or "that" in it, but he LOVES these sweet potato squares! It's become a requested favorite at family gatherings! I prefer to make it with the butterscotch chips in place of the white chocolate chips. MMM!

I made this exactly by the directions.....I am not that sure about it! I really like sweet potatoes but this is a weird tasting combo. It might would be better if the center was not so gooey and the top burnt.

In the end it was a big mess, and it didn't taste very good. The cake ended up being over cooked before the sweet potato set. Maybe I should have sugared the nuts beforehand, because they tasted sour. I used organic cake mix instead of pillsbury.

I was not sure when I was making this just how it was going to all come together because the layers are all pretty different, but it worked. I had to bake it about 15 minutes longer because I couldn't get it to set up. I doubled the topping because it didn't cover the entire surface area. My family loved it and I love these healthy desserts...you know, the sweet potatoes and oats are good for you, right? I'm sure those ingredients mixed with the butter and cream cheese make it all healthy for you....yes, I live in lala land.

To the person that said the topping was terrible.Use the flour with same amount of brown sugar 2 tbs of melted butter with the nuts only will make a nice crunch on top .....

I made these and they were excellent!! Alot of people thought the filling was made out of pumpkin, so they were surprised when i told them it was sweet potatoe!! I added a drizzle of caramel sundae topping to it though. I think next time i will try butterscotch chips instead of white chocolate just to add some more flavor
