One of the best cakes ever. I found it easy to make the only problem I had was cutting the layers in halve. So when my cake was done it was leaning. My advice to make it a little easier. Make sure you cook your pudding long enough and let it cool completely. I also made butter cream frosting. NUMMY!!!!!

The disparate ingredients in this not-so-easy and costly recipe combine to form a sickeningly sweet concoction that could easily put you into a diabetic coma. My family decided not to risk that, so the bulk of this ghastly creation (minus two slices now reposes in a Pennsylvania landfill. RIP, Tapioca Cake.

My step-son wanted a coconut cake for his 11th birthday and we watched Sandra make this simple gorgeous cake! It was very simple to make and everyone loved it! (even my son that doesn't like coconut! This recipe is a "building block" for many other fantastic cakes! We are going to change the ingredients a little and make a chocolate raspberry cheescake one next! Thanks Sandra Lee!

After reading thr reviews I almost didn't make this cake. This past weekend I had large picnic(30 people and decided to make this as a birthday cake along with other desserts. Simple and easy is putting it mildly!Everyone who had a piece thought it was great! I think the coconut flavor in filling could be stronger.I saw Sandra make this and I made it exactly the same way, except 2 cans of frosting is more than sufficent and I didn't use expensive vodka($25.00sm bottlefor sauce.I'm going to make this again and use blueberry sauce for the filling!

Recipe is overwhelmingly complicated and the result is less than impressive.

The people who said this was easy are obviously better cooks than me. I salved over this cake and found it very difficult and the directions a bit confusing in places. I ended up with a cake that looked like a mess and tasted stale. Sorry, but that's how it is.

I was intrigued by this cake due to the tapioca filling. Who ever heard of such a thing? Well, I hadn't. My Birthday was coming up and I needed to bake something special for work. If this would have been a total flop then it would have been store bought cake for the troups!
This recipe was so straightforward and easy to follow and I was able to make it in stages over a couple of days.
The taste was amazing and absolutely wonderful! Many, many people wanted to have the recipe which I shared. The only alteration I made to the cake was in leaving off the blueberries.
Thank you for the wonderfully rich and rewarding experience "-
