Last year for Thanksgiving I baked the turkey using Sandra Lee's cooking tips using the butter and foil method and it turned out beautifully. Everyone was impressed on how it looked and tasted. One important detail to a moist turkey is to buy a fresh NOT frozen turkey it will make all the difference and use a thermometer so as not to over bake the bird!

This recipe was easy to follow and simply delicious. The gravy was easy to prepare and came out PERFECT! The cornbread stuffing was sensational and the turkey was juicy and delicious!!!

I only made the cornbread stuffing. It was too wet and heavy and very salty. People were really looking forward to it but no one liked it.

HOW CAN YOU COOK A TURKEY WITHOUT SEASONING IT? INSTEAD OF PUTTING POULTRY SEASONING IN THE STUFFING IT SHOULD'VE GONE INTO AS WELL AS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE TURKEY WITH OTHER DRY SEASONING FOR AT LEAST 3 DAYS PRIOR TO COOKING.

This was my first turkey and the meat came out real nice. The gravy was OK but you might want to add a jar of prepared gravy to make it taste better. We did not like the stuffing it was wet and sloppy and too salty.
