Took this dip to a BBQ and it was a hit. You have to use the right amount of ranch mix or it will be overpowering.

Made this recipe for a Chilean wine party to serve with crudites. It was too flavorful. Salsa con queso dip already has tons of sodium and flavor, it doesn't need a whole packet of ranch mix in it. That being said, after a few glasses of wine, everyone like it more, but still agreed it would be better on chips and not veggies.

Out of curiousity, what did all of you rating this dip so poorly use? A Ranch DIP packet or a Ranch DRESSING packet? There is a huge difference, so Im thinking some of you made this incorrectly lol. Delicious!

The people in my family like flavor and kick. This dip was gone at the end of my last party. If you wanted to tone it down you could use less ranch and more sour cream. We loved it just like this though! I served it with blue corn chips, broccoli, carrots, and red and green peppers.

Yes it is salty but you just eat a little with a lot of veggies...I am a very healthy eater...everything in moderation except for veggies, whole grains and lean protein...I have to have some flavor and this did the trick...if you are the type that has a little veggie with their dip this might not be for you. Thanks again for a fab recipe Sandra!!

This was ENTIRELY too salty!!! I should have known better, but I thought the sour cream would cut the sodium somewhat. It didn't. Just oddly tasteless brine. And I didn't even use the ENTIRE packet of ranch dressing, either.

This was super quick and cheap. For me, if I make it again I might not put as much queso in it... other than that it was pretty good.

It was a horrible salty combination. Plain ranch dressing is much better and even healthier.
