    The taste is weirdly bitter and unappetizing. The appearance is grey-green-cream and unappetizing.

    They tasted bitter and awful. They were gray in color. They were gluey and unappetizing. Horrible recipe.

    I love any recipe using buttermilk. I was leary about the wasabi, so I only used a scant. Mashed potatoes should always be creamy and smooth. I always use a mixer..no potato masher or ricer for me. Thanks Sandra. I just received your latest cookbook! Good going girl!

    Wasabi mashed potatoes I've had them at a few "gourmet" restaurants and they were good. These were just as good though!

    These were the worst mashed potatoes I have ever tasted. They were very, very bitter and came out gluey (not fluffy. The wasabi I used was green and did turn the potatoes a funny off color.

    I was curious about the combination of potatoes and wasabi, but these were truly delicious! I'm wondering how they have seemed to turn out green for other reviewers, as I added more wasabi than the recipe called for (we like spicy food and they were still perfectly white and creamy. Perhaps the brand of wasabi paste makes a difference... I will definitely make these again - a nice change from plain white rice.
