This recipe was a perfect fit! I was looking for something simple and easy and this was it! Very tasty and simple and a true family pleaser. I used mild Italian sausage instead of bacon because that's what I had in the fridge. Thank you Sandra Lee, you are one of my favorites!

It was good, however, no sure I will make it again. Its REALLY rich. I did add red pepper flakes for an extra kick.

My family enjoyed this dish very much, especially the kids. It was extremely easy to make. At first, I was hesitant to use the same pan with the bacon oil, but the bacon gave it a perfect flavor. One hint though: remove some of the oil after frying the bacon, so it won't be too oily.

It was super easy to make and was done in under 30 minutes, even when I didn't use leftover pasta. I added a red bell pepper because I had one that needed to be used (which was a nice addition. Next time I thought I'd add some fresh green beans. I think this recipe is super easy and very adaptable to whichever veggies that you like. Next time I will drain a bit of the bacon grease before adding the mushrooms (it was a bit much in the finished product, but all in all a great quick, easy sauce less pasta for two (or even three or four with a salad.

I liked the flavor combinations but like another person posted, I suggest draining the bacon grease after cooking the onions, or just cook the onions in oil instead. Also, I think adding a bit of tomato sauce could help out as well. All in all this is a good base recipe and could be suited to your taste. Good one Sandra and VERY inexpensive. I like this show...keep the ideas coming!

I followed the receipe exactly and found this to be way, way,way too greasy. Perhaps draining the onions on paper towel to remove the rest of the bacon fat before adding the tortellini would make this palatable, but I'm not sure.
