and these will be the hit of your occasion! I made these as place cards/favors for my own wedding reception and they turned out great. They made people smile and fit in perfectly with my DIY/personal touches throughout the day.

NOTE: I noticed several of the older comments mention "edible candles" rather than edible CANDIES. In the photo, these are the little silver balls, which are called dragees. These are extremely hard to find nowadays (as compared to when the recipe was posted and are illegal to sell in some states because of the controversy of their real-silver coating and whether they are truly edible or only for decorating.

Just wanted to let anyone know - I chose to decorate mine without them, mostly because they are like little jawbreakers and I find them too hard to bite into.

I tried this for a wedding shower. I used my own cookie recipe instead of the box mix. They looked great and tasted even better. I over heard comments, they wondered what bakery that I found them at. THANKS for the inspiration.

I don't know if it was the champagne extract or what, but these tasted dreadful. A long, long way from edible.

After spending money on cutter, ingedients etc--these were terrible! cookies spread out so much they looked like giant xmas trees! we finall got the monsters(60 of them!,iced and decorated--very tedious! Were to be served at rehearsal dinner--made an "oops! basket and made a joke out of them--never will i use a recipe from Sandra, unless she comes and makes it in my kitchen! She smiles and makes everything seem sooooo easy--yeah,right! Barbara,Indianapolis,In
