Excellent recipe!!! I've now made it a couple of times. I followed recipe exactly the first time and was very pleased (used OJ since had no orange liquor and it was great. Just made it again and decided to do a little experimenting. Used cider in the icing instead of OJ and put some orange zest in the icing to give orange flavor. Tastes great. Thanks Sandra.

I did not have apple cider and didnt just want to use just plain water, so I decided to puree 1 medium sized peeled apple instead, I also added about 1/4-1/2 cup water to the mix since I saw that it needed a more liquid consistency. I did not have pumkpin ramekins, so I just made them into bars and drizzled the whte icing, which I added a sprinkle of cinnamon in it...YUMMY . Been watching so much foodnetwork, I have almost created my own receipe: They were eaten up my all my guests! Will definetly do again!!! Thanks Sandra

Sandra your the best, I loved it and I got a rave review from my friends and family. It was everything I knew it would be from you. The cakes were not only moist but each got to have something special of their own.

I love the idea of individual bunt cakes for family weekend meals. This recipe can be changed up so many ways. I have used box cake mix's and scratch cake mix's and Nothing raises like a box cake does. They are lighter not to mention quick and easy and almost everyone has them on hand. I am not a fan of boxed icing but it doesn't take a lot of imagination to just dust the cakes with confectionary sugar or make your own glaze or frosting. If you are looking for a scratch recipe you have no business looking for semi homemade recipe's. So don't let the recipe Nazis sway you this is well worth a try.

I dn't understand how something that can smell pretty good actually taste this bad? I find this with a lot of mixes - except Ghirardelli. That seems to be a reputable brand and risk-free. I find the box mixes of other products to taste funny, no matter how they smell when they're baking.

This sucks. I don't care what you add to a box of cake mix or a can of icing, if you've tasted quality ingredients, you will be gagged by the sickeningly unbalanced artifical sweeteners and nauseated by the distinct flavoring of preservatives, additives and flavors. I do like the idea of miniature bundt pans doubling as pumpkin molds. However, it's well worth it to make things like this from scratch and not as time consuming as some may believe.

I tried this recipe last night after watching the show and it was excellent. The apple cider gave it such a wonderful flavor and it was very moist, as well. I did not use the icing recipe online but rather did what Sandra did on the show--mixed a little orange liqueur with confectioner's sugar (I added a little red & yellow food coloring to make the icing orange in color as well. It was quite a treat for dessert.
