I like wonton soup, but have never had it with all this other stuff in it.

Wonton soup is basically chicken stock with green onions and wontons in it. Add a dash of sesame oil and/or soy sauce and you are done. If you want to get fancy, throw in some snow peas.

This one is over worked, over thought, and just not authentic.

I have never tried any of her recipes, all I have to do is look at them and know something just isn't right. Come on! Seriously???? Onion mix and frozen veggies? RED FLAG right there, people. I guess that's why it's called semi-home cooking, ugh, disgusting. If you have tried more than one of here recipes then you have issues and have obviously deprived yourself of good food. I just got tired of searching through recipes and running into her mediocre and horrible reviews, it isn't right. I hope enough bad reviews will get her booted off the food network, too many great chefs and cooks out there. Rant over.

I was just better off ordering wonton soup from my local Chinese restaurant. This recipe is not even remotely close to having any Asian flair. I tried this once, and I will never try any of her recipes again. I can't believe this woman has her own show. Her recipes are better off in the Quick Fix suggestions column in Family Circle or Woman's Day. I would love to see Sandra's cooking skills to the test by having a cook-off between her and Ina or Giada.

I cook and bake a lot and I do it well. I followed the recipe to the "T" and it tasted Salty, Oily, Mushy, and the wontons sucked up all the broth:-/ all that hard work for nothing. As a joke my husband told me it made him want to go on Dialysis. Had to throw the whole pot away. Thank goodness it's cheap and I didn't waste a chicken breast. No offense to the chef. The Chinese Sausage Egg Fried Rice and Eggrolls I made were awesome!

I found this recipe easy and delicious. I didn't have the Asian barbecued pork and used 1/2 pound ground pork instead. I browned it and drained it before moving on with the rest of the recipe and it was very good.

It was a bit of work stuffing the wontons but was worth it. I fried half of the batch and ate it with some sweet and sour dipping sauce which came out better than the wonton soup!

The flavor was great, but the wontons were quite a bit of work, and they didn't hold up well. Next time I will use frozen wontons.

I read the other reviews and some said this was a bit too salty. I used 2 cans regular broth along with 2 cans of low sodium broth in hopes to cut salt content. I also added some chopped ginger to the wonton fillings. I had some left over filling so I made little mini meatballs and sauted them. I used pork instead of chicken too. I didnt think it was too salty and was simple and fantastic. Will definatly make this again! Thanks Sandra!
