    Just made this for a birthday picnic. Never have used the sugar method. This is very good! Thanks, Sandy!
    All I would change is how the sugar is added, next time I would put it in at the end like they did on the show, a bit at a time.

    This is almost the same as the recipe I was taught by my mother. However, in my version, hold the sugar and add pimentos for color and horseradish for a nice bite!!

    I have always been known for my potato salad. I tried this recipe using the sweet relish vs my cider vinegar and it's a hit! Love it. Thanks, Ina, you always provide the best recipes!

    I have tasted some good potato salad that I thought was the best I had ever had "UNTIL" I made this. This is the "ULTIMATE" potato salad. I have never used pickle relish until now. This will be my potato salad for life.

    I make good potato salad and always am asked to bring it. This is a great recipe and may become my go to for potato salad. I didn't think I would like the pickle relish but loved it. This is awesome and will be a hit at your next BBQ..

    Although my mother-in-law passed away before I could have a potato salad lesson with her, this came very close. My husband gave me a 9 out of 10 as to how close it was. Thank you, Sandy and Ina. And, the rest of the family really liked it, too.

    This is how I make my potato salad as taught to me by my Grandma. The only thing I do not add is sweet pickle relish & sugar. I usedill pickle relish & chopped pimentos for color!
