This recipe was very good. After I added 2 tablespoons of sugar, and threw it in the blender for a few it was great! Can't wait until this evening to make pizza with the girls. They might not reach the sink to help with dishes yet but they like to cook more than most women I know!

I will never buy pizza sauce ever again. This is absolutely delicious and so easy to make! My kids love it!

If I can ever master the perfect pizza dough, I may never go out for pizza again!

Great basic sauce. We use on pizzas, pastas, even sandwiches. I also added tomato paste (3 tablespoons and use crushed tomatoes instead of crushing whole tomatoes.

This was my first attempt at homemade sauce. I didn't have whole tomatoes, so I used tomato puree. Accordingly, I added a can of paste to thicken it some. It was very good. Definately wil be adding to my recipe box.

YUMMY! - Made this today for grilled pizza. Used tomatoes, basil and oregano from my garden and a nice sweet onion. Loved it so much I made some grilled pizza dough with italian seasoning, garlic salt, olive oil and parmesean cheese just so I could dip it! So easy to make I will never buy pizza sauce again.

AMAZING! Super tasty pizza sauce. For those who like a smooth sauce I recommend blending at the end. I vote on no sugar, a few extra basil leaves, and a little red pepper flake action. Otherwise it is perfect!
I make this ~once a week and use it as a general sauce (pasta, pizza, whatever.

It sounded good so I made it exactly as called for. After I had it prepared it just seemed like it needed something. So heres what I did. Did'nt have any onions left after the holidays but I did have some leeks left so I just used them. The sauce seemed a bit to chunky for my family so I blended the tomatoes along with the onion and garlic mixture. Then I added it back to saucepot and added about a tablespoon of brown sugar, a bit more oregano, a splash of onion powder, (Leeks a bit week compared to onions. 3 ounces of tomato paste and another pinch of finely ground pepper. Then I let it simmer for about an hour to condense. This is really an awesome sauce and still easy to prepare. Its our family go-to pizza sauce. You can't buy pizza sauce this good.
