I absolutely loved this. I started with cut up chicken parts, then pulled them out while the sauce was reducing, removed the skin and bones, chopped up the chicken and returned it to the sauce with the veggies. Just easier to eat that way. This is such a satisfying stew with great flavor, and it's healthy, too. I made a half recipe with two large chicken thighs and a large half chicken breast, and I'm going to get four servings from just half the recipe. Can't imagine eating the serving size suggested here. And I didn't put it over anything. If I'm really hungry, I'll serve it over brown rice, whole wheat couscous, or quinoa.

Another wrong recipe. Maybe some of these chefs need to come to Senegal and learn to cook it the right way intead of modifying things.

Maybe it's because I didn't have the optional pepper to use in the recipe but the peanut butter flavor was a bit odd for my taste buds, and I usually love peanut-sauced Asian foods. A great way to use up vegetables, but I doubt I'll ever make this again.

I've made a lot of food from recipes I found online, but this is the first time I've ever been moved to actually review it because this stew tasted INCREDIBLE! I was a little worried because I seemed to end up with a lot more vegetables than what I saw on the show, probably because I used too large a butternut squash. And the pot I used was almost overflowing, but it didn't cause any problems with the cooking. I couldn't find a Scotch Bonnet pepper, so I had to use a Haba?ero. It didn't end up very spicy, but the other flavors were so good, I didn't care.

One of the best stews we ever tried. Very easy to make and so satisfying. Such a nice dish for a cold Winter day.

This is such a satisfying, simple and delicious recipe. The melding of peanut butter and tomato flavors was perfect; it wasn't over-rich as I thought it might be. I used freshly-ground roasted peanuts, which gave it some good depth. This was a good family meal for us, as it pleased everybody and lasted for more than a few leftovers.

This was so good and so easy! I couldn't find butternut squash and didn't think cabbage would go over well with my family, so I left that out. I also had to use Oyster Sauce instead of fish sauce. I served it over white rice the first night and brown rice the next. I'm going to try it with okra next time!
