    Excellent Results

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
The first time I made a pineapple upside-down cake was a miserable failure. It has been years since that event and I finally decided to try again. This recipe exceeded my expectations. I loved the results. It was moist with lots of flavors, none overpowering the others. (I used 2 tsps of cardamom.) The fresh pineapple, rather than the canned in most recipes is a must! I have a ceramic stovetop so I could not use a cast iron pan, but I believe it was just as successful in my Everyday pan. I did take the cake out of the over after about 35 minutes. 45 minutes would have been too long. Try it - You will like it!

    Without Cardamon

I made this cake without the cardamon because I didn't have any and had never heard of it before, and it still turned out great. Very moist and delicious!

    Fabulous

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is hands (upside) down the most amazing pineapple upside down cake I have ever had. Moist, flavorful with that little "what is that...?" I make it about 2 times per year and it is always a big crowd pleaser. Love the cardamon - I use 2 tsps and think it is perfect.

    LOVE IT

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I've made this recipe a few times now, And i love the flavor of this cake. I had never used Cardomom before because of the price, but I wanted to try it anyway and I'm really glad I did. I will use this recipe whenever I make upside-down cake.

    Cardamom too much....

This cake turned out beautifully however after tasting one slice we through it out. Although we only used 2 teaspoons of cardamom, the taste was overwhelming and I guess we learned cardamom is not our favorite flavor.
