my whole family loved it!! i did what other reviewers recommended and checked it at 30 minutes, it was nearly done and 45 minutes would have been far too long. I also substituted chocolate chips for the walnuts as my family prefers that! I always have problems only pouring in half -- i always poor more -- would love it if anyone has tips on that!

Love this recipe! Just to be careful I set the timer for 30 minutes then checked. It was completely done with 30 minutes of baking. Perfect dessert for my healthy geared family

Ok so I have been making this for my family for a few years and they all love it. I have made a few substitutions for it though. Instead of regular brown sugar, I used 1/4 cup of splenda brown sugar. Instead of 1/4 cup of butter, I used 1/4 cup of applesauce. Instead of the sour cream, I used 1 cup of low fat buttermilk or plain fat free yogurt. And last but not least, instead of all purpose flour, I used whole wheat pastry flour or just plain old whole wheat flour. And also, mine cooked itn 30 min instead of 45min, so set your timer for 30min and check with toothpick. So pretty much, there is barely anything that's bad in this recipe for you so you can enjoy it not one slice but two or three, heck, I sure did. :

I made this after reading all the reviews-so I doubled the vanilla & butter and added 1/4 cup organic applesauce for more moisture. Also added a little flour and crumbled up butter to the topping. Came out delish. Not as low cal, but really great tasting.

Delicious, moist...I used regular sour cream, and 1/4 teaspoon of almond extract, because I run out of vanilla. And it was very, very good!!! I will make it again for sure!

I made this coffee cake last night for my friends ,and they loved it , but I just wondering why the picture of this cake is different with the recipe? At picture you see a creamy stuffing in the middle of cake but the recipe does not have any cream cheese or anything that makes that creamy layer inside the cake .

Most recipes end up needing "tweaking" after a few tries, but this cake came out wonderful the very first time. My husband is the most picky eater that I know, and even he was impressed. This was the first dessert recipe I've tried without getting the reaction "It's not like my grandmother's." Very quick & easy - sure to impress your biggest critic!!
