This recipe is great. I did not add the nuts but even without them it was really good. My family has already requested that it be made again.

Since finding this recipe last month I have made 8 loaves. I cannot get enough of it. My freezer has several and I love that it makes 2 large loaves. However I did change the recipe a little. I used 1 cup brown sugar and 1cup sugar. Also I used 3 heaping teaspoons cinnamon and 1 teaaspoon nutmeg. This bread is delicious, the best recipe I have tried. It is very moist has lots of flavor and tastes more like cake. So I added an icing of 8 ounces of cream cheese with enough powdered sugar to stiffen and a teaspoon and a half of orange extract. What can I say but deliciousa!!!! Try it.
    Thank you Bill Kelly

Just made this bread tonight and it turned out great! A nice option when you have extra sweet potatoes to use up! I like that the recipe made more that just one loaf as well, my mom gets to enjoy it now too.
The only thing that I changed about the recipe was adding some nutmeg, which ended up being a good addition!

This recipe is a real winner. My husband and i just bought a giant box of farm fresh sweet potatoes and when I got them home I realized how many sweet potatoes we really had, a lot! So I made sweet potato soup, excellent. Still so many SP. Food network to the rescue, again. This recipe is wonderful, I followed another reviewers suggestion and switched out OJ for the water and I baked for 60 minutes. The kitchen smells delish and and the bread was easy and oh so tasty. This was a wonderful way to use what is fresh now and save it for later. I still have a lot of SP left so I think I will bake another batch. thank you to the other reviewers for the suggestions.
