You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 1 (24-ounce) jar chunky salsa
  • 3 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro leaves
  • 3 scallions, white and green parts, chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Southwestern dry marinade mix (from a packet)
  • 1 (18-ounce) bag restaurant-style tortilla chips
  • Vegetable oil cooking spray
  • 1 (1.25-ounce) packet Tex-Mex taco seasoning

Directions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

In a medium bowl, combine salsa, cilantro, scallion, and Southwestern marinade mix. Set aside.

Working in batches, pour a single layer of chips on baking sheet. Very lightly coat with vegetable oil spray. Lightly sprinkle with taco seasoning. Bake for 5 minutes. Repeat until all chips are seasoned.

Serve chips on a large platter with a bowl of the Southwestern Salsa.

    I made this recipe for a party that I hosted with all Southwestern/Tex-Mex snacks on the table, and all my guests raved about this. They all wanted my "secret recipe." Thanks, Sandra, for another quick and easy way to "doctor up" some store bought food and look like I slaved away on it!

    I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS WOMAN IS STILL ON FOOD NETWORK. SOMTHING IS WRONG HERE !! HUBBY MUST BE PAYING BIG BUCKS. WHO ELSE HAS A REDO KITCHEN EVERY PROGRAM ????

    i made these chips for a bbq, i think i added to much taco seasoning or something, but i wasnt impressed. The people at the bbq said they liked them but the store bought chips went first ahaha.
