This was quite tasty. I had leftover chicken taco filling (about a cup so used that up. Also added a handful of mozza into the pasta mixture and the sour cream. I'd surely make this again.
People also need to lay off Sandra. Go to another page if you can't appreciate what she's about...fast and easy cooking.

thanks for making tasty food easy to prepare and time efficient. i love food but have little time to dream up something new, so the inclination is to eat fast food, expensive and not tremendously nutritious, or resort to something simple and quick, e.g. open can of beans, etc. or boil a potato with a hot dog or hamburger, etc,. really enjoy your show. thanks, george.

People who complain about Sandra Lee or her recipes don't understand the concept of her show. That's fine, just change the channel for 30 minutes. This recipe works. It is a good base for a tasty quick meal when you are in a crunch. I appreciate the simplicity of all of her cooking. It doesn't mean she isn't a great cook. Just because macaroni isn't made from scratch doesn't mean it isn't good. How many very successful Italian restaurants don't make pasta daily for their patrons...Seriously.

I gave this 1 star, because it wouldn't let me give it 0 stars.
How is this on Food Network? I don't come here to find out ways I can doctor up a box of grocery store mac & cheese. Sandra Lee is a disgrace and should be banned from television and the kitchen for life.

This was awful.Plain mac and cheese from the box by itself would be better.

I read some of the above reviews and was a little skeptical but I have to say after some doctoring this was really good! I added the taco seasoning (like everyone else said it's a must, when I was mixing everything in I added some crushed tortilla chips too and raw onion (to give it a little more crunch, it cooked a little while baking. I also added a little milk so it wouldn't dry out, it was really good!! I omitted the pimentos and corn because I didn't have any, and I did add a caribbean red pepper to add a little heat. I also took the other persons addition and cooked it for about 15 min. before adding the tortillas and cheese on top. Really good though, the husband loves it, definitly will cook this again!

I read some of the reviews about this dish and made a few modifications. I also made a bit ahead of time (I follwed all steps up until putting the chips and cheese on top and put in fridge for the day and it turned out great. 1 Added the pasta cooking water to the cassarole dish to keep it from getting dry. 2 used taco seasoning with the turkey. 3 Added a little bit more cheddar cheese and mixed it with the pasta and turkey. 4 cooking the pasta and turkey for 15 min, then put chips and cheese on top for 15 min and then broiled for 2 min. My picky husband loved it!
