Very good recipe for being so simple. I replaced the milk with half and half and added a whole lb. of crabmeat, ommiting the roe. Also added Old Bay.Delicious!

Best She Crab soup ever, my family really enjoyed. Can't wait to serve it to friends. I did use a little more flour to thicken it and used more cran than called for as well as omitted the crab roe, but that was just our personal preference... Would highly recommend.

As delicious as any crab soups I've had! This was very easy. I didn't use any roe but there was nothing missing in the taste. This soup is even more delicious the next day!

This was very good, I tasted and tasted trying to figure out what was lacking. I added a sprinkle of sugar and it became the best I had ever eaten, and the folks I served it to said the same thing. Try about a teaspoon and adjust to taste, You're gonna love it!
    (forget about the roe

Not having crab roe isn't an issue though you can use a small bit of shad roe for flavor but don't substitute with anything else! Using caviar is just wrong. ; Using 4 oz of butter would have me using 6oz of flour and that way it was nice and thick.

My husband loves She Crab Soup, and he really liked this. I only wish it was a little thicker, but otherwise, it was excellent!

This soup was easy to make. It was a big hit at a dinner party. I even ommitted the roe. Leftovers were even better the next day. I substituted Old
    Bay for the hot sauce.

I couldn't find crab roe anywhere, so I used caviar, which might be why the soup didn't have a lot of taste by the given recipe. After I added some extra spices, it was great!
