Ingredients

  • 1 avocado, halved and pitted, flesh cut in quarters
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 clove garlic
  • 1/2 shallot
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice, plus more to taste
  • Pinch kosher salt, plus more for seasoning
  • Pinch freshly ground black pepper, plus more for seasoning

Directions

Add all the ingredients to a blender. Put the blender on a low setting and gradually increase the speed. Blend on high for about 20 seconds. Taste the sauce and adjust the flavor by adding more seasoning or lemon juice. Pour the sauce through a strainer into a small bowl. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve. If you want a warm sauce, gently heat it in a small saucepan over low heat.

Cook's Note: The sauce can also be served as a uniquely delicious soup!

I have not tried the sauce but we love avocados so will try it. I only have one bad thing to say and it is this. I would like to see more cooking and less drama. I will have to stop watching the show if they don't make it more about cooking because
cooking is why I watch Food Network.

Please Food Network don't go the way of regular TV, you are all I have left of good
    television.
