Great pancakes! This is the only from scratch pancake recipe I have been able to get my 4 year old to eat!

Very easy, had most of the ingredients on hand. I substituted buttermilk for 1 cup 2% milk. Batter was too runny so I added more flour to get the right consistency. I also added a little more sugar. I also added chocolate chips. They came out great! Good to know I don't need the box sold at the grocery store, there is really no big difference from this recipe and the boxed varieties sold in stores. Made 6-8 mini cakes using a mini egg pan.

This has been The Best pancake recipie I have ever found. I haven't really be able to find soft (not crunchy, floppy, fluffy, flavorful pancake recipies anywhere and I was tired of using "box" ingredients. I had to change and add a couple of things but they turned out great! 1st my butter milk was past the expiration date so I found out how to turn regular milk into an adequate substitute (use one cup of milk - we drink 2% - and cut a lemon in half and squeeze the juice of half a lemon into the cup of milk. 2nd Let the milk and the egg sit on the counter for a half hour before you use them. And 3rd I also added a tsp of vanilla, a tsp of cinnamon, and 2 tsp of pumpkin pie spice. These pancakes were light and fluffy and tasty!!! This will be posted on the inside of my spice cabinet for easy reference in the future for sure.

I've been trying different pancake recipes for a while. This is a great one! I also used about a tbs of vinegar in a cup of 2% because I didn't have buttermilk. Very light, ill have to double the recipe for my family next time- everyone had seconds!!!

I was looking for a good basic pancake recipe. This is perfect! The whole family loved 'em right down to Mr. Picky, my 3 yr. old grandson. This will be a Sunday regular from now on!

Although it's a good starter recipe for a jumping off point, these pancakes were way too bland for my sons and I. I even added an extra tbsp of sugar and they still weren't as sweet as I'd like them. With some tweaking this would be a good recipe but otherwise I'd seek others. I even added bananas in the pancakes and it still tasted flat.
