Delicious recipe, sprinkled a little powdered sugar on top and I couldn't stop eating them.

I loved it I always make them. I added 1/2 Teaspoon of vanilla, Chopped pecan and about 40 shakes of Cinnamon. ( I know thats a lot of cinnamon but you cane just rarely taste it. And I only sometimes add Chocolate Chips or Brown Sugar. Great.

My kids wanted waffles and I couldn't find my recipe because we recently moved, at first I was a little worried because the first batch came out really thin, I tweaked it a little by adding chopped walnuts and mashed bananas and vanilla extract. My kids loved it especially when I added sliced bananas on top with sprinkles of chocolate. Wonderful recipe.

My daughter wanted waffles and I was out of waffle mix, so I used this recipe instead. I did not tweak the first batch of waffles and they came out perfectly. I was a little nervous because the batter was so thin, but they still came out soft and fluffy and cooked all the way through. My guess is I have a really awesome waffle maker. The second batch of waffles I added about 1/8 c of flour and a dash of vanilla extract to see what would happen. My family couldn't tell the difference...but they could smell the difference. That was the only clue that there was anything different between the original recipe and my tweak.

I couldn't find my usual waffle recipe I've been using for years. I was attracted to this one with simple ingredients. My usual recipe had 2 cups flour and 2 cups milk with 2 eggs. This has the same 1:1 ratio of milk and flour, but less volume. This worked well for us with no leftovers for a family of four.

If you want a less eggy waffle or a few more waffles, increase flour and milk to 2 cups. If you want fluffier waffles, increase baking powder to 2 or 3 teaspoons.

This is a solid basic waffle recipe, a good jumping off point.

I don't understand the negative reviews on this recipe. I make this recipe, no tweaks, every weekend for my husband and two children. We LOVE it. Not only is it easy, but it's delicious. Sometimes we put powdered sugar on them and it tastes just like a funnel cake. This is a great recipe and I will continue to use.

Simple is right! We woke up this morning to our 2 kids (9 and 11 making us waffles. This is the recipe they found and what a delight! The waffles were tasty and yummy. Thank you for creating an easy to follow recipe for waffles that our kids could follow without any adult help!

I decided to try this recipe because at the last minute my family decided they wanted waffles, and I didn't have sour cream for my famous sour cream Belgian waffles. WORST CULINARY MISTAKE I'VE MADE IN A LONG TIME!!! The batter was extremely runny, so after the "test" waffle - let me stop here and say that I have never planned a "test" anything when I cook - I added flour and baking powder, and ended up with an almost edible product. For all the reviewers who say that they gave this recipe 5 stars with a few tweaks, I hate to break it to them, but when you have a "simple" recipe that you have to tweak, it's not a 5 star recipe. Hope you take my advice and find another waffle recipe. They are relatively easy to make, so don’t be afraid to run away from this recipe.

I made this with my mom one morning because I didn't want cereal again, BIG MISTAKE!!! Not only was the recipe so easy that it had to fail, when we pulled it out it was completley raw and a waist of perfectly good ingredients. We even put in a 2nd one in because it said ", Ist waffle will be the tester." They came out worst than the 1st, so my mom and I 86ed the rest and had our original cereal. The most ironic is my mom said this will happen because it would be to thin. NEVER MAKE THIS RECIPE!!!!!!!

What an easy recipe. I did tweak it just a bit after reading the reviews....I used less milk, a bit more baking soda. Turned out FLUFFY and crispy. Not too sweet as we used butter and syrup and fried chicken on the side! Yummy all the way!
