This recipe is very good. Followed the recipe to the letter, except that I reduced the salt (thought 3 teaspoons was too much and the omitted the red chili peppers, since I did not have any-- so, It turned out a bit on the sweet side, but still good.
It's not a 5 because I found it had too many apricots and too many onions.
Next time, I'll add the full amount of salt, replace the chili peppers with red crushed pepper flakes, and reduce the amount of onions and apricots-- I wish I had read the other reviews before I had made it.
All in a all a good recipe- Full of healthy veggies, and the cilantro sauce is amazing!

Soo so good! I used 4# chicken legs instead of turkey, just 2 onions, one less carrot (because there were only 7 in the bag and 32 oz precut squash. Was worried there would not be enough liquid, however with the lid locked down for 6 hours it turned out phenomenal!

Every once in a while, a recipe just flops. And this is one of those times. I honestly can't figure out how there were so many positive reviews. I had to check the recipe 3 times while preparing. I couldn't figure out where the broth was coming from as the canned tomatoes were the only liquid. After 2 hours in the crock pot everything was just drying up so I ended up adding a cup of water. After 6 hours, the carrots and onions were still not cooked, no broth to speak of and NO flavor. I added cumin and a few other spices, increased the water again, and put on high for another 2 hours. No luck. As I write this we are trying to save it by cooking it in a dutch oven stove-top, on high, with 4 cups of chicken broth and yes, more seasoning. There is just so much food I can't even begin to think of throwing it out.

Officially not delish. I am disappointed (and wondering what to do with all of the food!....I have had moroccan food and this does not hit the mark.

    Notes:
    Pros
    - Made a lot of food
    Cons
    - What to do with all of the food? I am not sure that my husband will eat this.
    - To me this dish was not flavorful at all. It needs a spice makeover...VERY BLAND (and I followed the recipe to a T with exception of using one less onion
    - Carrots were hard by the time the turkey started to get a bit overcooked

I will not be adding this to the "must serve" list for the family.

Wow factor indeed! Awesome dinner and I cannot wait for leftovers! Did use 1 onion ('cause that's all we had and omitted the parsley ('cause I didn't get any but otherwise followed the recipe to the T. Our 18 month old son even loved it- especially the chickpeas! Great with a glass of red wine. Perfect fall staple for our household!

My family and I loved this recipe. We love moroccan food and this really fit the bill for our favorite flavors. I used a half turkey ***** and a package of chicken thighs because my market didn't have enough turkey. It was great. Following the lead of others, I cut the onions to 2 and instead of just allspice I added about a teaspoon of both ground coriander and cinnamon. I put it up too late for the full six hours in the crockpot, so when I got home around 6 pm I chucked it into the oven at 350 for an hour and it came out great. Served it over israeli couscous 2 nights in a row and we still have a couple portions left. The sauce is amazing!

This recipe is amazing! I followed the recipe to the letter with the exception of using crushed red pepper and only one large red onion. Everything was cooked perfectly and it was absolutely delicious. I will most definitely be making it often this fall and winter!

This dish was so delicious that I couldn't put my spoon down! Oh my word. Our house smelled perfect, the cilantro sauce was so quick and easy to make, and it was an amazing melding of tastes... WOW! I took the recommendation of those before me and only used two onions but everything else went in as directed. Sweet and amazing!
