I omitted the ancho and pasilla chiles because I figured it would just be way too spicy for my taste, and did not use the cinnamon stick. I made the recipe using a 1 lb pork tenderloin and fixed the recipe accordingly - since it's just me and my husband, we don't need all that food. The flavor was fantastic!! And I'm glad I did not use those other chiles since the chipotles in adobo sauce made the spice just right. If there had been any more spice, I could not have eaten it. With some guacamole and cilantro on the side, it was great!!

There was WAY too much work involved in preparing the sauce for it to not come through on the flavoring of the pork. What a let down. Too much chicken broth - I agree with the other reader who said it was swimming in the broth and grease. I ended up removing the pork shoulder at the end, dumping the broth, and THEN shredding it, so that it wouldn't make the pork greasier. Then to save it, I put in about a 1/2 cup BBQ sauce and let it coat it.

UNBELIEVABLE!! Excellent taste, BUT DO NOT MICROWAVE THOSE POBLANOS!! You could end up in the hospital because your throat closed up. That's what happened to me anyway. My poor cat almost stroked out too. But this is a fabulous recipe with immense flavor. Will definitely make again and again.

This is the bomb. I have been making it with left over frozed smoked pork (pulled of course. I have been using maple syrup for the sweet...and adding some cilantro too. I can't stop making this stuff.....thanks. eric

I could not find the chiles, but these were delicious without them! I had some leftover black bean soup so we spooned that over the top. We toasted the tortillas in a pan for a few minutes on each side, and we topped them with light sour cream, cheddar cheese, jalapenos, and fresh cilantro! EASY AND YUMMMMMMMYYY! I will definitely be making these again.

Delish but I felt like the recipe called for too much cinnamon. To balance out the sweetness I tossed my meat with some lime juice and kosher salt after it was cooked. Will make it again for sure!

Very good. I added one habanero and more chipotles. I made it in the crock pot before I left for work. I also used tenderloin tips.
