This is the 3rd or 4th recipe I tried for making good and easy sugar cookies. They always ripped at the edges when rolling them out but these came out nice! A little dry on the edges but overall good.

These were awesome! I finally found an icing that works great with sugar cookies. My husband loved the cookies even without icing. He actually prefers them that way. And, they are super with coffee in the morning. They did take a while to make but are easy to do if you have the time.

These came out absolutley perfectly! They looked like they came from a bake shop. They stayed nice and white and were sturdy but yet still soft. Just the touch of almond extract gives them a great flavor. The icing also came out perfectly. I will make these again and again. Thanks for the great recipe, Paula and Food Network.

I made 6 dozen of these cookies last year and everyone at the cookie party loved them! I froze them and they still had great flavor and consistancy of dough. I cannot find the meringue powder though, so I substituted an egg white and it worked great. The snowflake design it so easy to decorate and looks very festive.

WOW best dough ever!! Do not care for almond flavor so substituted 2 tsp fresh lemon juice plus zest of one lemon in place of almond extract and they are wonderful. Make chanukah cookies every year using this recipe.

Love these cookies, very easy to make and i have all the ingredients in my pantry. Do NOT try to work with the dough unless it is cold, otherwise it is too sticky. I divided the dough in two logs and let chill overnight in the fridge that way i could work with one half while the other half stayed cold. I love that the cookie is not too sweet. I put a little extra almond extract because i just love the flavor and aroma. I did not decorate them since is do not like icing. I will make again.

These were very good. I tried another recipe from the Food Network website, and I preferred these. They had more flavor and a better texture. I added some dried cherries and pistachios and they were really good.

They are not bad cookies but I think they are kind of bland. Someone else had commented that they are cake like and I have to agree. I expected a richer tasting cookie.

Great taste. I made them for kids class to decorate, so did not make the icing. I added a bit of flour, so they would poof more. A trick from an old baker friend. I had no problem with rolling onto parchment paper, after being in the fridge a few days, not the freezer.
