I made these last week and they were soooooo good!! I didn't use the edible paint icing recipe... I just put sprinkles on them before I put them in the oven and they were awesome.

YUM! I made these last night and thought they were great! I love the almond extract, the cookies were not chewy...but mine turned out soft and delicious. I didn't use the edible paint recipe...instead I just mixed up a simple icing using powdered sugar and a little water and vanilla...and food coloring. My husband loved them!!!! I will make these again.

They taste alright. Sorry to say this after spending hours in the kitchen. They are very time consuming and in the end they came out cake like and the taste wasn't impressive. I followed the recipe exactly, but who knows may be i did something wrong or maybe they are just not for me.

Amazing. The very best. I roll them thick for a soft chewy cookie. I used European butter and a hint of peppermint oil with lots of vanilla. Our new favorite , Thanks Paula and happiest of holidays to your family .

These are excellent. I like the sugar cookies with icing you find at bakeries, but never really enjoyed the ones people make at home much. Made this recipe last year and it is now absolutely my go-to recipe for sugar cookies. They are pretty good rolled out any which way, but I far prefer them rolled a little thicker, they stay soft in the middle and get a little crunchy on the edges.

I got this recipe from a friend who uses it. It is amazing. Her hints are the following: 1. To avoid the cookie losing its cut shape omit the baking powder. 2. After mixing ingredients she cuts batch in half and puts in fridge for at least 30 min. 3. to roll out use 2 dowels to match the desired thickness of cookie on either side of dough then use the dowels as a guide to roll out, rolling over the 2 dowels for uniform thickness 4. after cutting cookies layout on cookie sheet with parchment then freeze for 30min-1hr before baking. always makes for a perfect cookie everytime. Thanks for the suggestions Shana!

YES...this cookie is worth making and the Edible Paint Icing (Watch Video tops it off. Come the holidays any holiday...I want to be that person who uses the cookie cutters and makes these amazing cookies just like on TV. You know....the commercials on TV....buy the pre-made cookie dough at your local store, just roll it out and Magic happen....well that is not the case! So I used a childhood sugar cookie recipe and there was no way that dough was going to roll out, cut or taste good. You get the picture. I decided to post this review (my first because this is a Dream Cookie recipe. It's simple, to the point and just follow the directions and guess what, you can make snowflake cookies (Yes, I cut out snowflakes!!! I also cut out bunnies, flowers, etc. Now the taste....AMAZING! It is sooooo good! When you have other families kids and husbands telling you that your cookies are the best and can you make them...you know you just scored. It is not overly sweet even with the icing. So, I hope this review helps you say...lI need to make these cookies. I promise, It's worth your time!
