I made my own hanburger but used the pimento cheese recipe to top it and it was wonderful. So just a variation on this one for now - everyone loved it!

We were really looking forward to trying this recipe.
My husband really liked it, however thought the slaw was too sweet and said if we did it again he'd leave the slaw off his.
I thought it was pretty good, not sure what the ham does for it thought. If we make this again I'll leave it out and add some grill seasonings to the meat.
The pimento cheese was enjoyable and my husband asked if there was left overs so he could just have that.
Oh and I forgot to put the crushed ships on the burgers.

We would like to try this at the restaurant and see how different it is from the home version.

I really liked these burgers but I think I would leave off the bacon next time. It seemed to overpower the taste of the pimento and slaw. I liked the honey slaw on its own as well, very delicious and simple.
Cooking the burgers in the bacon grease added a lot of moisture, they were juicy despite the lean meat I used. Would make again.

Overall, we liked them. Since it is just my husband and myself, the first meal I made them exactly per directions. Although they were really, really good I think that the coleslaw and crushed chips really didn't add anything. The next night, with the 2 leftover patties I left off the coleslaw and chips and we liked them alot better. Coleslaw might be better if jazzed up with some vinegar. Overall, very good burger and will make again..but to much work to do very often.

Cooked these burgers for family birthday dinner yesterday, and they were a big hit! Yes, labor intensive, but for a special occassion, no worries. Couldn't find applewood bacon so I didn't use any at all, and skipped the crushed chips as well. Also, not usually a fan of putting slaw on anything, but it really goes well on this burger.
The pimento cheese drew raves. I'll make it again soon (the birthday girl requested the remaining pimento cheese to go, so no leftovers for dad. Going to make another batch tonight, and apply to warm baquette.
This was alot of fun to make, and really made for a memorable dinner.
    Thanks for sharing!

The burgers turned out really nice. The apple wood smoked bacon was a nice touch. The pimento cheese was a great addition too. When I make them again, I will use a heavier smoked ham. Maybe trim up a hock for the 1/4 lb. of ham or something like that. My only complaint; the recipe was just a bit labor intensive. Not something you would make all the time but certainly worth the effort on occasion. Definitely try them at least once.

TGIFridays did NOT do justice to Harold's burger - they didn't put the coleslaw on it or the crushed potato chips and just threw the ham on top. I haven't made these at home yet, but I know they will be delicious when I do - I love coleslaw on a burger and Harold's looks delish!!! I was so happy to see Harold win - he is such a sweet man!!

My wife made these for a family gathering and we were all gushing about how delicious these burgers are. We're getting together to have them again in a couple of days to use the rest of the Pimento Cheese/Honey Slaw mix, I can't wait. We like to expirement with different kinds of burgers and I think this is our all-time favorite. Thank you Harold!

Never had pimento cheese on a burger before and what a hit! I love cheese and the crushed chips on top along with the slaw gave it just the right amount of crunch. I'm adding this one to my once a week menu.

Thanks for such a great burger.

Hello Harold I tried your burgers last night for dinner and they were a hit !being from the North we always put slaw on our burgers along with a few fries. I knew you had a hit on your hands! The taste was supurb. As a fellow physically challenged person I have the utmost respect for you living your life and taking chances, not letting your poor eye sight stop you, that makes you a hero in my book! Good show! You are a great person.
