    This is a great recipe!!! It is sooooooo good. I made these for my family. The batter is easy, and the cream cheese is heavenaly!!! I only used 2/3 cup of oil, because it seemed kind of heavy. Otherwise it's great!!! Highly recommended.

    great recipe.. i made some changes though.. i tried it with 1 stick butter and a 1/2 cup veggie oil like cjke suggested .. i also added extra cocoa powder like several others suggested ..then i added probably about 1/4 cup of coffee (didnt measure but i eyeballed it ; and half a box of chocolate pudding mix and they came out pretty fantastic .. which is a huge relief cause im making them for my son's class as a christmas treat and the first batch came out rubbery and oily and had absolutely no flavor.. but these.. AWESOME thanks so much for all the input i found on these reviews.. to anyone making this the first time i seriously suggest taking a few minutes and reading through what others have tried.. usually find some pretty sweet advice in their reviews thanks again!

    This was a very moist and delicious cupcake. The only thing wrong was it didn't turn as red as I would have liked. But I'll work on that because the taste was so wonderful I will be making it often. I did make a little change. I used one stick of butter and one half cup oil instead of what the recipe called for. Thanks for such a wonderful recipe. The cream cheese icing was perfect as well.

    Made these for the Holiday weekend. They were pretty yummy, but I ended up putting a white choc mousse in the middle and then topping with the cream cheese frosting. It was delicious, I did only use 1 cup of oil, and they were pretty light and fluffy. There were only a few left after the guests left

    Very easy recipe. No complications like any other cupcakes on this website. When I was making them I realized I didn't have enough red food coloring so I put some blue along with red, which made them purple velvet cupcakes instead!

    My favorite red velvet cupcake ever. Frosting was so creamy and delicious! They came out perfect. I noticed alot pf people said they were oily. I had no problem with mine.

    YUCK! I saw this episode on Cupcake Wars so I thought that the cupcakes had to be decent. The judges said they were good so it must have been better with diffrent ingridents. AWFUL!! I would never make these again. The cupcakes were completely dry, but the liner was soaked with the oil. I tried them, all I could taste was red food coloring!

    This was the first time i have ever made Red Velvet anything. I was amazed how easy these were to make. The flavor was wonderful! Nice Chocolate flavor and i did not taste the red food coloring at all, the frosting was definatly the perfect icing on the cake! :- My Daughter is also a big fan of Cupcake Wars, so when i seen this was one made on the show, I HAD to try them. I was more than please with the out come and flavor of these cupcakes. Will be making them again soon.
