Admittedly, I have not had good luck with Sandra's recipes, but I do appreciate a speedy new way to prepare an old favorite when pressed for time. I caught her making this on tv and when I thought through the ingredients -- ranch dressing has buttermilk, spices, and then you add a little tang with the cider vingegar, plus some sugar -- that made sense to me, since these are similar to what I put into my completely homemade cole slaw. It sounded worth a try. Plus, I figured that I have enough experience to doctor it up, if needed. However, this was a disaster. The flavors did not marry, even after sitting. I tried to salvage it with a little mayo and seasoning, but there was just no way to pull the it together. I agree with the reviewer who asked, "Is anybody testing these recipes?" I had to throw the whole thing away.

It seems that the worst reviews Sandra,s recipes get come from reviewers without a name.
I have found her recipes to be wonderful, and I look forward to new ones from Sandra.
However something just isn't right about the negative reviews when so many of them come from nameless reviewers.

I had company over and did this recipe and it tasted horrible - I do not know what I could do wrong with such a simple dressing. I did use ground coriander which is cilantro. I used about 1 T.

I had to write after reading the previous review. So nasty! I like Sandra Lee. She is very talented & I save lots of time with her recipes. At Thanksgiving I tried her rosemary mashed potatoes & they were excellent - every one loved them. They were better than my homemade. That last reviewer sounds like a food snob. Lighten up.

I just couldn't seem to figure out this difficult recipe...too many steps and hard-to-find ingredients. I mean, where in my regular groshry store can I find the 'slaw' ingredient for this 'slaw' recipe? Could you draw me a map? I'll have to practice utilizing my groshry store more and try this one again.
