Directions
Brush four 12-ounce boneless rib-eyes or strip steaks with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and rub with Spanish Spice Rub (recipe below) on one side. Grill rub-side down over high heat, 3 to 4 minutes, then flip and grill 5 to 6 more minutes (for medium-rare). Serve with Sherry Vinegar Steak Sauce (recipe below).
Spanish Spice Rub:
3 tablespoons Spanish paprika
2 teaspoons ground cumin
2 teaspoons dry mustard
2 teaspoons ground fennel seeds
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 teaspoon coarsely ground pepper
Whisk all of the ingredients in a bowl.
Sherry Vinegar Steak Sauce:
2 red bell peppers, grilled, peeled, seeded and chopped (or 6 piquillo peppers, chopped)
1/2 cup aged sherry vinegar
3 tablespoons dijon mustard
2 tablespoons horseradish, drained
2 tablespoons honey
1 tablespoon molasses
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
Blend all of the ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth. If the mixture is too thick to pour, add a few tablespoons of water.

The steak rub was very elegant and the sauce was truly complimentary because they definitely were a smooth follow up. I live here in Santa Barbara/Montecito 8 months out of the year and I live in Nice, France 4 months out of the year and I must say that europe is very metropolitan than the states because I'm 80 miles from Genoa,Italy and close to Espana and Barcelona is a stone throw away so I'm fortunate to have enjoyed great meals and I've tried various recipes from your menu's and I must compliment you on your tastes foodnetwork. Thank you EMO

This is excellent..I like the rub a lot; smoked paprika is the perfect seasoning for steak, although there is always some caveman who pops up on the steak recipe comments and calls people sissies for seasoning steaks or putting sauce on them. Expand your horizons, dude.
My only complaint is that I find the sauce a little too vinegary. I think next time I make this I will back off on the sherry vinegar to maybe a third of a cup..it kind of drowned out all the other flavors to me.

Phenomenal! It was very easy, the rub on the steak alone was delicious then you add the sauce, just fantastic, we'll definitely be making this again and again!!
