This recipe was awesome. I took it to a potluck for the office, and they have requested a redo. i will say though that I am not a fan of breadcrumb topped mac and cheese so skipped that part and still got the great reviews.

I was tired of the traditional mac & cheese, so I made this for Thanksgiving this year. THE BEST EVER!!!! It does have a kick, so if you don't like heat you might want to tone it down. I followed the recipe to a T and we loved it!!!!

This is absolutely delicious. I am usually not a fan of pepperjack, but this was amazing. I followed the recipe exactly and it came out perfectly. The croutons are definitely worth it. The mac and cheese is spicy, but it's not overpowering at all, just a little kick. This recipe is great, it is creamy and just wonderful, the only thing I would do is make more next time!

I was really skeptical as I'm not usually a homemade mac and cheese fan but woah.... This is hands down the best homemade mac and cheese I've ever tasted. I didn't have any sour cream on hand so I used plain Greek yogurt and cream cheese instead. I also put extra cheese on top and used panko toasted up with onion powder, garlic, salt and bacon instead of the croutons. It's to die for. I'm going to serve it for Christmas now that I know how good it is. Way to go, Sunny!!

When I first saw this, the ingredient list is what made me want to make it. Being a culinary student, I realized all those ingredients would make a delectable macaroni and cheese! I made this for my extended family for Thanksgiving. Was worried because it was my first time making it, but it came out great! They really liked it, which I was worried about because they aren't "spicy" food people. My cousin even asked for the recipe. I would have modified my use of the breadcrumbs, but I think it is the type of bread I used. Will definitely be making this again. Do yourself a favor, and shred and cut cheese blocks yourself, it is a much better texture and melts more smoothly. Once I had it down I realized this was a very easy recipe even though there are many ingredients.

I made this for Thanksgiving and this was the only recipe my family raved about. I was just happy I turned out without getting burnt for my holiday dinner, but my family could not stop talking about it and the pickest eater of us all went back for seconds and then thirds. I made it the night before Thanksgiving and just reheated it for 30 minutes before everybody arrived at 350 degrees. Will make this again soon.

I am a Puerto Rican woman, who married an African American man...so I HAD to teach myself how to whip up some soulfood. I must say, this recipe HELPED! : I made this recipe for thanksgiving, and the first tray was a couple of servings shy from gone by day one! I didn't add the cayenne pepper because it would have been too much spice for my 3 year old. I also added onion powder in lieu of the grated onion (not a fan of onions. It was perfect...this is now my go to mac and cheese recipe!

I’m not a huge fan of eggy mac and cheese, but I thought I’d give this a try. It was easy to put together, throwing everything into a bowl instead of making a roux. When it came from the oven though, it looked like a hot, greasy mess. I wasn’t crazy about the texture—mine was not creamy—although the flavors were pretty good.
I forgot to salt my pasta water, which added a bland edge, although a little salt at the table evened it out pretty well. If I make again, I’ll be sure to salt the pasta water. I’d also suggest cutting the cheese into small cubes—mine were too large, which resulted in big blobs of cheese. I didn’t top mine with the croutons, but I don’t think it took away from the dish. However, I would probably top with panko next time. The recipe is pretty easy, so I think it may be worth another try. This would be quick and easy for a potluck.
