In one word..yuuummm! I may add some smoked game to it next time as an added bonus.

Wonderful flavor! The perfect amount of heat. I would agree that shredding all the cheese will make for more even melting. I didn't add the grated onion and didn't miss it, though I do think it would taste good. Next time I'm going to try mixing in some ground meat or diced sausage before baking. Yum! *For those who found it to be dry, you have to use exactly a 2 quart baking dish.

I made this for my family at Thanksgiving and they absolutely raved! Now, because we had children eating with us, I left out the spicy ingredients. It still turned out great!

Fixed this dish for our Christmas dinner--it was fabulous and so easy to make. I only put in half of the montery jack (used more cheddar and the kids loved it. You know the kids--the ones that only eat mac and cheese from a box.

This was a hit for our family. I completely forgot to put in the grated onion and can't wait to make again to taste the difference.

I was so disappointed with this recipe after seeing it on the Best Thing I Ever Made, I thought it would be a sure-win, however after making the recipe, even measuring everything out exact, the mac and cheese was not spicy and was dry, plus the croutons got soggy after awhile. I will not make this again.
