I made the Tangy Slaw last night. We are all hooked. I doubt I'll ever make it the old way again. This recipe rocked. And my husband who is a heart patient was able to enjoy it thoroughly. Thank You!!

This recipe was so delicious. I served it with corn on the cob as well as corn muffins. I used one and a half racks of ribs and only made a few modifications. I didn’t have any beer so I used ginger ale instead. It made the tomatoes, onions, and peppers nice and sweet. I also only cooked it for 1.5 hours and finished it off on the BBQ. The ribs were so tender and had great flavor. I made a couple modifications to the tangy slaw; the addition of carrots and red cabbage for color. For anyone who has someone in the family that doesn’t like mayonnaise the slaw was a great alternative! I will definitely be making this again.

We loved both of Susie Jimenez's recipes as much as Bobby Flay and Guy Fieri did on Sunday's Food Network Star show! Susie's Spicy Pork Ribs were so tender and flavorful, you could really taste the beer in the sauce! The Tangy Slaw was amazing...mmm, avocados! We thought the amount of fresh lime was perfect when balance with the right amount of salt. We loved eating a coleslaw that wasn't full of mayonaise as well. Can't wait to have more friends over so we can make these again!

I tried this tonight with NY Strip Steaks and grilled shrimp. I tried to cut the receipe down to six servings. It is tangy, spicy and a good way to serve cole slaw without using mayo. For mine and my guest's taste it was too "tangy" at first. I added 1 and 1/2 tablespoons of sugar in the raw to the slaw and it was great! Susie you rock! This is one of the best FNS series next to season 2!
