This was just fabulous. The flavor combinations/blending was top notch. One of the best recipes from Food Network we have tried. Our prep time was longer but absolutely worth it. We are making another batch of the sauce to try on wings. We will absolutely make this again

I found this recipe to be quite time consuming, but the payoff is well worth it. All of the flavors marry beautifully. My only regret is that I didn't have bigger shrimp to use; I imagine that would have significantly reduced the amount of time this took to prepare. I'm a big fan of the combination of coconut and avocado, and the shrimp comes out amazingly flavorful considering that there are NO SEASONINGS in the batter! I'm looking forward to making this again...when I have the time. :

Un-freakin-believable. This is one of those awesome meals you can impress your friends with. The rice with coconut milk was smooth and creamy, the jalapeno jelly was out of this world, the shrimp was crunchy. Yes, I loved it! I bought more shrimp than needed and sort of ate them as they came out of the hot oil. Luckily I had enough left to still plate it! It's not as hard as all the ingredients and steps make it look like. Will make over and over and over forever and ever. Amen!

This was outstanding. Even my 83 year old mother-in-law couldn't get enough. Each component of the dish is great on it's own, but when you put them all together on one plate it is pure heaven. This is going into the rotation!

Wow! My whole family went crazy for this (teenagers and adults. We all loved the coconut rice. The salsa is wonderful. The tempura shrimp is light and crispy and is still crispy 1/2 hr. later. I can't wait to eat this again, probably will make it again within the next 2 days!

Excellent & easy. Had enough tempura to make some onion rings.
