So easy, quick, tasty, and foolproof! Two differences for me: only 10 minutes in the oven, and I put an egg wash on before the olive oil. I did not think they were bland at all! I thought the fresh-ground pepper and fresh-shaved parmesan I used had wonderful flavor.

As promised, these were relatively easy to make, BUT, as one other reviewer noted, they can be bland. I think they would have been REALLY bland if I hadn't sprinkled Emeril's Original Essence on top and used a flavored olive oil. They were light and crispy, so I can say the texture was nice. However, the parmesan flavor didn't come through very well. Also, I used Pillsbury Puff Pastry dough, which had an elastic quality that made cutting the stars difficult (tho as I said, the end result was fine. Next time, I'll be more aggressive with how much, and what, I sprinkle on top. I did use a higher-quality parmesan, so not sure what I could could do differently next time! These are nice served with a salad, by the way...

I made these last night & they were really bland. I used fresh grated parmesan cheese. And, I peppered them. Any suggestions???

I've made these to go with some marinated olives & spiced nuts as pre-dinner nibbles. They are so simple to make, but very easy to customize to suit your meal plans. One of my guests is vegan, so I skipped the cheese on some and used a spice blend that I normally use for bread dipping. Very flavorful. As another reviewer suggested...don't throw out the scraps. These are great to experiment with different flavor combinations like garlic salt. (My 2-year old loves these! These will become one of my quick & easy go-to recipes!

Make them for Christmas. Instead of Parm I wondering if they would work with sugar sprinkles of red and green. Make them sweet instead of savory. Nice little added attraction on your holiday table!

Null, null, well the recipe was written differently this time because as a courtesy to those who didn't BUY the magazine they posted it with all of there recipes. To all the other readers: I used this at my family's annual Luau because they resembled starfish, we kept hem at the bar as to help with the consumption of cocktails they were a great hit, simple and easy.

I made these for a play group of toddlers. My 3 year old's favorite shape is the star. These were super easy to make and the kids and mommies loved them. One mom even went home with my recipe card and a bag of stars.

The reason they didn't give that info is assuming because it's dependent on the size of the cookie cut out you are using... if you can't judge that on your own for a recipe this simple, maybe you shouldn't be making them. As far as the recipe itself goes... great party hit. Kids loved them.
