I have made artichokes for over 20 years using the basics, lots of garlic stuffed into the artichoke, olive oil, salt and pepper. I really liked the use of lemon and the herbs to mellow the flavor. It was good.

While I'm certainly no iron chef I can cook a decent meal. This was ok by my standards. I don't blame Food Network, I think artichokes are a lot of work for very little food.
Not my favorite, but was worth a try for something different.

Sometimes you just need the basics and this definately fit the bill. Tasty and healthy too (even though we dipped w/ a mayo/dijon mustard combo. Yum!.
