This recipe is great. My husband is allergic to eggs, so I made this recipe and it is very good. Needless to say, it didn't last very long with my family. ;

I put a handful (or more of frozen strawberries, almost 2 cups of heavy cream (I topped it with whole milk to make 2 cups, 1/3 cup sugar into the food processor and then into my ice cream machine and in minutes I had beautiful soft ice cream. I ate a small (well, not too small bowl of the ice cream and put the rest in the freezer to harden up. Wow! I'm going to use this easy recipe over and over with different fruit. I have a bowl of nectarines on my counter... hummm.. I think I might make some nectarine ice cream ..!!

Didn't even bother freezing the berries. Used 1 cup heavy whipping cream and 1 cup nonfat milk (I don't think I've ever seen "light cream". Churned for 20 minutes in our ice cream maker and it came out airy, creamy and DELICIOUS! Put in a chocolate pie shell for a couple of hours. Cut into slices and served with fresh whipped cream and sliced berries for a garnish. A new, easy family favorite!

I blended the ingredients in the blender, using some frozen and some fresh berries. Poured into my ice cream maker and 15 minutes later we devoured it! So good!

before freezing the berries, cut them into half inch pieces. when i failed to do this, the larger berries were simply batted around in my cuisinart and they never got chopped or pureed, no matter how long i ran the machine.

This is a great "spur of the moment" ice cream recipe. I always keep my ice cream maker bowl in the fridge, just in case I get the hankerin' for some of the home-made stuff. Since this is not a custard ice cream, it is quick, easy, and very good to boot! You can have soft-serve in under an hour!

It was very easy to make. We used half-half as the "light cream" in the recipe and it turned out fine.
Everyone liked it and we look forward to making it again.

This is the best strawberry ice cream I have made, and it is the easiest. My kids are able to help me make this and it tastes fresh not like it has been sitting in a freezer for months. My only complaint is there is never a batch for a second day
