I prepared the dish for my friends, and they loved it. The only thing I did different was used a whole chicken (with additional pieces and left the skin on for more taste, and added additional apple cider, apples, & onion for more sauce. It was absolutely delicious. What a beautiful fall dinner, thanks Sunny.

I have always loved recipes with chicken and apples. This is one of my favorite dishes with apple cider. I love this meal! I can't wait to make it again!

This is absolutely one of the best chicken recipes I have ever made, my chicken breasts were really thick so I butterflied them first, gave lots more area for the delicious cider sauce, everything went so well together, can't wait to try it next with thick cut pork chops, a keeper for sure!! the only thing I used different was a mackintosh apple which we have in abundance right now here in the north, and of course it was mackintosh apple cider!!

I LOVED this recipe. I was able to use all ingredients I already had and only had to purchase the apple cider. I wasn't able to find this in the regular grocery store (I'm guessing it's only available around the winter holidays but luckily I have an Apple Barn in my city so I found some great unfiltered apple cider there for a very reasonable price. I loved how quick and easy the prep was, as well as how the dish is just slightly sweet and savory because of the onions and garlic. Even my picky husband who won't normally eat meats with sweet glazes ate it up. I will be making again tonight to use up some chicken breasts!

I was really surprised at the wonderful flavor of these ingredients. Never would have thought of apple cider in chicken, but with the garlic, onions, thyme and bay leaves (+ green apple slices that really took the flavor and experience up to a new level.
As for the brussell sprouts, I instinctively added a little water while after they have been cooking a bit and I could see the browning on them. I also put a cover over them that guaranteed tenderness in the middle. I love brussels sprouts just like Sunny.
I will definitely make these dishes again!!

I loved this meal. I had already cooked and my daugther wanted to make this recipe. She made it and was a big hit. She did use half chicken broth and half cider. She doesn't like sweet foods. We can't wait to make it again and use some of the other suggestions from this blog. Try it you will love it!!

This was absolutely delcicious, I actually added 1/2 tsp nutmeg, 2 tsp brown sugar and 1 tsp of cinnamon along with the spices, I also added enough apple cider to just about reach the top of the chicken. Overall the dish was really declicous and I will definately be making it again!

I didnt have any chicken, so I used boneless smoked chops and skipped the apple cider. Substituted brown sugar and cinnamon with the apples and onions! OMG it was the best!!!
