Great recipe, which has become a staple in our house. I cook a large meal on Sunday nights and use the leftovers on Monday, and we've all been battling for these leftovers! Even my picky 8 year old enjoys it.
I am no chef but i followed these directions and Sunday dinner was fabulous. Everyone loved this recipe. We will definitely do this again soon!! Keep these tasteful, delicious and easy recipes coming Sunny!!!
Didn't really come out how I thought it would. I used a smaller pan, so it took a long time for the chicken to cook thoroughly, and by the time they were the apples were extremely mushy.
It probably would have been better if I had used a large pan.
It wasn't terrible, just wasn't as good as it looked on TV.
Delicious recipe. I like how the chicken had a great crust on the outside then was finished off in the sauce to make it very juicy and tender inside. I used fresh thyme like other reviews said and am also looking forward to trying the recipe with pork.
I wasn't sure how this recipe was going to come out. It sounded a bit too sweet with the apple cider. But let me tell you, even my picky eaters loved it. It was very tasty with a hint of sweetness and the chicken was very tender.
This recipe was easy to make, The first time I made it my kids really enjoy it. I add rice with it which is really came really good. Not only that my kids beg me to make it again! I love watching your show. Thanks for sharing your recipe looking forward in for more.
Family liked it, but said not to make it again. Too sweet. Would probably sub out a lot of the apple cider for chicken broth (home made, if I tried it again. Would probably work well/better with pork. But the seasoning was flavorful (added a pinch of salt and some pepper. The fresh thyme was very nice, though only used one tsp instead of too, which was more than enough of the dried. Fresh thyme would probably be great! And the thickness of the sauce was perfect. Got raves for the juiciness. It was nice to try something new, but expected to love it. Liked it, but just didn't love it since so sweet. Might even work with all chicken broth ... will play with it.
This recipe was easy to do and had great flavor. I used it for a dinner party last night and it worked out great. The sauce was a big hit and was happily sopped up with mashed potatoes and rolls across the table.
