This was good but not enough spice. I thought with all the spices that it would really have good flavor but it still needed more. I added some adobo and it was better. I would leave out the allspice as it gave it a strange flavor. I did fry them which is the only way to go.

We thought this was just OK. This is the first time I made something from one of Sunnys shows that we did not absolutely love, have made several of her recipes and this is the first one that did not knock it out of the park. Can’t win them all.

I totaly tweaked the recipe. I used Tyler Florences Mexican Roast Beef taco recipe, added some beef chorizo and potato to soak up chorizo. I also forgot to pick up Sazon so I added Tapito hot sauce to butter. Thank you Sunny Anderson for informing us that we can buy wrappers at the store. I was using pie crust since to make empanadas.

I loved this recipe! I couldn't find any dough so, I tried my hand at it! I always get a taste for empanadas, but in the midwest I tend to come up short(good ones. These taste just like when I am in NY!

Loved this recipe! I used substituted pie crust, and chili powder instead of sazon. This meant I had everything I needed in the kitchen without a special trip to the store. I also made my version a little smaller and they had an appetizer feel. The results were great. Some might say the chili powder substitution made them a little on the spicy side, but that's how we like it at our house.

Easy, fun and cheap to make. The wrappers were hard to find but I'm glad I did. Great little snacks, and the Sazon makes them perfectly spiced. Will make a few changes next time, maybe add some chopped peppers and some more corn and instead of using shredded cheese I think I'm going to just take a shard of cheese and put it over the top of the beef before wrapping it up. Would be fun to bring to a pot luck!

This is one of my favorites! I find the empanada dough too tough, so I use puff pastry instead, and it is light and flaky. Otherwise, I follow the recipe. Served with some queso and chips, and my kids absolutely love it!

These didnt work for me at all. The curry was overpowering in the meat mixture, and it is all I could smell and taste. Also, the empanadas didnt brown up like I expected them to, and they were pretty tough to bite through. I think they would have been better if I had fried them, but I try to stay away from deep fried foods, so I thought I would try it.
