I made this as a side dish and it could definitely be an entree. Next time I will double the broccoli and mushrooms and lighten up on the cheese. Very easy to make.

My daughter is vegetarian and we made this for her "dish" last Thanksgiving. Used Baby Portabellas, brown rice and half n half. Most guests thought it was too spicy or garlicky for their taste--1/2 tsp of cayenne is a lot for these parts!-LOL. I think I will reduce to 1/4 tsp this time around. Yummy dish!!

I tried this recipe last thanksgiving, and WOW... It was soooooo good!! It was the best recipy I ever tried on foodnetwork. Only bad thing about this recipy is its very creamy and cheesy so you feel like you just gained a pound LOL I used frozen pre chopped brocolli, and used baby bella mushroom, still great. I'm gonna make this again this thanksgiving. Thanks Snny Anderson you rock!! lol

This is better if the mushrooms and onions are sauteed in butter first. Brings out the mushroom flavor more.

THIS WAS VERY GOOD! I followed some of the user comments and substituted 1 can each of cream of chicken & cream of mushroom soup for the heavy cream and used about 3/4 cup stock. I also added a pound of cubed chicken. I will definitely be serving this dish again - it was delicious and very easy to make.

I think this recipe was just OK. Nothing special. I think it was more of a rice dish than a vegetable dish. I love garlic, but found it had no place being in this. We will finish the leftovers, but I won't make it again.

This was really good and easy to make. I substitued rotini pasta for the rice b/c I didn't want to take the time to make brown rice (all I had in the house. I was delicious.

This was amazing!!! I had a recipe i had created for broccoli casserole but this blew mine out the water. I only strayed from the recipe a bit . . instead of using heavy cream i used cream of mushroom and cream of chicken and i added a pound of chicken breast strips cut into cubes but it was unbelievable. I literally could not stop eating it ~ plus my family enjoyed it. Defintely a family fave.

I loved the sauce for this! my daughter wanted seconds and thirds. I cooked chicken thighs cut in small pieces w EVOO n saltnpepper in a skillet and then added that to the mix. I had a complete meal rather than just a side. The only complaint was from my husband.. he could taste the onions and mushrooms.... next time i have to chop them VERY small to get him to eat it lol
