Great recipe! I substituted hot italian sausage for the chicken sausage, and skipped the jalapenos and paprika, and it came out great! Rave reviews from my boyfriend and roommate.

I used ground chicken instead of the chicken sausage and also I subsituted whole wheat penne for the noodles and it came out super! My husband is extra picky and he loved it and asked to have leftovers for lunch :

Everyone loved this recipe. I didn't use the jalapenos and only used 1/2c of heavy cream. I also used an Italian seasoned can of crushed tomaotes that added a lot of flavor.

I enjoyed this recipe very much. At first glance of the ingredients, I thought the dish would be very spicy; however, found myself kicking up the "spicy." The sauce was a bit runny, but nothing a little flour couldn't fix. I thought the recipe was missing something, perhaps because I didn;t use the vodka.

Overall....This was a great dish, and I would definitely make it again! My four year loved it! I love pasta, and this rigatoni made me enjoy it even more!

I didn't want to use chicken sausage, so I used regular sweet Italian sausage.
The dish is sooo flavorful! Would even be great for a potluck or party.
    Sunny has done it again!

This dish is delicious! Excellent twist on the classical Vodka sauce. I prepared it for a family dinner on a week night after work and it was quick and easy. All of us absoutely loved the flavor. My daughter actually asked me to make it again 2 nights later. When cooking for grown adult children home from college (you know the picky, opinionated eaters, it's difficult to find recipes that everyone will eat. I did substitue hot Italian pork sausage but I am sure it would still be great with the chicken sausage because of the layers of flavors from all of the other ingredients. I will definitely be adding this to our frequent favorites. Yea, a dinner that all 4 of us can enjoy! Thank you.

I'm having so much fun trying new recipes from this website. This recipe was fabulous! I did not have any problem getting the sauce to stick to the rigatoni.
I did chop the tomatoes up with my wooden spoon while it was simmering, and I let it simmer a little longer than 10 minutes. I used Italian chicken sausage, it was even more spicey..yum!
I am planning on making a double batch next week for my sons birthday party.
The men in the family will go nuts for this!! Tnis will definetly be a regular dish in my house from now on.
